Water Sector
Since our formation in 1997, the water
industry (including wastewater collection and treatment and industrial
effluent treatment) has been Jones-Jack’s major business sector.
| |
 |
Jones-Jack Ltd. has an excellent record in providing
asset management services to water utilities. Services provided
have included:
- Capital Maintenance Planning in line
with the Common Framework
- Asset Data Collection
- Asset Data Verification
- Condition and Criticality Assessments
- Detailed process reviews
- Investment proposals
- Budget costings |
JJL has worked closely with one major water
utility to provide audit services for the operational contract
for Water production, Water distribution and Wastewater treatment.
The audit team is headed up by trained staff and has carried
out invoice compliance testing, coding compliance testing and
scheme completion audits. JJL is able to bring a blend of technical
expertise and cost awareness to the audit process.

|
JJL staff are experienced project
managers in the water sector and have fulfilled project manager
and assistant project manager roles on all sizes of engineering
contracts from £30,000 WwTW upgrades to £XXM new builds
such as the Shell Green Sludge Processing Centre in Widnes. In
fulfilling these roles, JJL have often carried out feasibility
and outline design work, advised the Client on procurement strategy,
and overseen the complete procurement process to project completion.
|
|
JJL has extensive experience
in carrying out feasibility/optioneering studies for water, wastewater
and industrial waste schemes, often as the natural progression
from more strategic asset management planning or as a the preliminary
stage of a full project management service for a scheme or schemes.
|
 |
|
| |
 |
Because of JJL’s close
working relationship with the Utility companies, other “end
user” Clients and with larger engineering consultancies,
we have had many outline design commissions both as stand alone
packages, which are subsequently issued under design and build
contracts, and as part of a full project management service for
a scheme or schemes.
|
|
JJL also enjoys a good relationship
with many of the Contractors serving the water sector, and consequently
we receive many commissions to provide detailed M&E designs,
particularly in our core expertise areas of pumping and wastewater
treatment.
